Yes, we have blackberries

The 2018 picking season is getting off to a good start.  The recent rains have really helped so we are starting to get out and pick.  Please consider joining our mailing list so you can be one of the first to hear when the berries are ready.  We will do our best to fulfill all orders but please know, we are totally dependent on the rain and weather that God sends as our blackberries are totally wild and the only thing we do is pick them!

Our vegetable garden is similar although it does get watered in the drier times.  Depending on how it does, we may occasionally have some veggies to sell.  Our mailing list will be the best way to hear about that.

Hope to hear from you!

Been awhile

The last few years have not been good for us and the blackberries.  Last year we didn't pick anything because they were just shriveling up from the heat and lack of rain.  This year, however, looks like it should be a good year!  We have already picked a few pounds and they are just getting started.  We are still hoping for some rain to help them continue to ripen nice and plump.  Feel free to fill out the order form and we will contact you when we have your order ready.  Orders will be filled in the order that they are received.  Our price is still $3.50 per lb.  Hope to hear from you!

Hard at work picking blackberries

We have been working hard picking blackberries.  Enough to enjoy a hearty breakfast afterward!  We seem to be having a bumper crop due to the rains this year and are trying to keep up with them.  We also have been selling to a local restaurant, Maple Street Biscuits, so if you go in, try their B2 jam.  You might be enjoying some of our blackberries!  Hope to hear from you with an order!

Blackberry time!

It is another year and the blackberries are looking great!!!  There are tons on the brambles in various colors including black and juicy.  We are very grateful for the rain the last few days and pray they will allow us to extend our season well into summer.  We have begun picking and are ready to begin taking orders so please use the form on the sidebar to place yours.  Prices have remained the same from last year.  We will fill in the order received and as the berries are available.  We encourage you to join our newsletter to hear news first and perhaps even a special or 2.

No Rain = No Berries

Unfortunately, it looks like our blackberry season is done for this year.  The majority of the berries have shriveled up on the plants due to the lack of rain so we are really struggling to pick even a pound when we go out every other day or so.

If we get some much needed rain and we notice that the unripe berries manage to ripen, we will be sure to let everyone know that we are picking again.  If not, look for news from us periodically through the year until next year's season.
